ReelAbilities Shorts NYC 2015
For new reader’s. I have posted a number of other ReelAbilities posts already if your lost. Please read some of them first.
The ReelAbilities Film Festival has short or briefer films two Some prior to a longer movie. Others, put together in one sitting. Here are the ones I saw. Again, if I underlined it- it means I didn’t like it. I’ve noticed. Sometimes (If there done superbly) short films are perfect for those with ASD and certain types of ADHD as well. Like the hyper focused type, like mine! Or people with short attention spans. There more direct, can be very powerful, defiantly not overwhelming. And short. So, moving on with ones life after is SO MUCH EASIER. I mean I get the value of a longer movie sticking with you long after watching it. But, it can get distracting, esp, with so many details and nuances in some of them. Especially if your not super interested in the topics or lessons. But, if you aren’t. Why go? Right?
These first 2 I seriously wish I could see again. The first one, I missed the very beginning. And I REALLY WANTED to SEE.
And the second. I’m not sure if I got everything the first time around.
Hear This! This has subtitles in English (It wasn’t spoken in English. When speaking was used.) . But , it was really easy to follow. And I really liked it.
The Hyperglot- this one was interesting. I recommend for Aspies. Especially males, with no added language challenges like Dyslexia.
The Kiss (but, NT’s that aren’t socially challenged much might love it! )
Rolling Romance just close your eyes if you end up having to see this one. Make sure your not in the front or centered in your seat choices. And take a cat nap. Just don’t forget to wake up before the main film, or next short.
Midfield it was really good. I chose the film it was shown with to watch this. It was my fav. short , hands down.
I attended none of there events this yr.
Take Care, and if you see them. Enjoy!
